Dreamboat Lucy is a clothing and accessories company created by sisters Louanna and Hilary Murphy of Prince Edward Island. Their brand caters to a fun, feminine woman who wants to be noticed. With unique fabrication and silhouettes, the Dreamboat Lucy look is a little rock and roll, a little retro and always wearable. Their use of bold, bright colors and prints is a design staple seen consistently from season to season.
Upon completion of the Costume Studies program at Dalhousie University as well as the fashion program at LaSalle college, Louanna returned to Halifax, where younger sister Hilary was mid way through her Jewellery and Metal Smithing degree. The duo spent two years together at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design before founding Dreamboat Lucy in 2010.
Over the past three years Dreamboat Lucy has received recognition in Canadian publications such as Flare, Fashion Magazine, The Globe and Mail and The Kit. In 2012 they were chosen as finalist for the Mercedes Benz Start Up Program and are thrilled to be returning as finalists for fall 2013.
